ArchSoc Western Cape is hosting a kids-focused heritage outing with fun, guided activities all about Mostert’s Mill — how it works, its history, and why it matters. The planned activities are ideal for children aged 5–10 years, with plenty of interest for others too.
Some activities planned:
Discussions on the history of the mill
Exploring parts of the windmill
Testing wind direction
Pinwheel crafts
Hands-on milling activities
A heritage feature hunt
A mill-themed treat
… and more!

Important Notes
- Adult supervision is required for the full duration of the event
- Parking is available down the street from the Mill
- Please wear comfortable clothing, as some activities will involve running and climbing
- Please indicate in the Google Form if the child you are booking for has any food allergies, as a small treat will be provided
- Please indicate in the Google Form whether you give consent for the child you are booking for to appear in online media distributed after the event, including social media and related ArchSoc communications
